Events have been canceled all year and we didn't want to fall to the same fate. After ample research, we were able to make some adjustments to our events to ensure the health and safety of our attendees while meeting the requirements of local legislation. Please read through this full Covid update before committing you and your club team to either of our events. Also, please check back to this page for any updates, as changes may occur to meet local regulations.
Changes to expect:
-We've lowered the max teams from 18 to just 8 for the SCBC 2021 (Elite Open).
-Everyone must have their temperature taken upon entry of the arena. If your temperature is 100 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, you will be denied entry (no exceptions).
-All attendees must wear a mask covering their nose and mouth when they are not playing on the game floor.
-Referees will wear masks during games and use electronic whistles.
-Players benches/areas will be continuously sterilized in between games.
-Hand sanitizer will be available to all attendees throughout the arena.
-Standard social distancing practices are expected of attendees.
Team deposits:
Our events have always had a non-refundable policy on all team deposits. This has always been to keep teams honest and committed to the event. We do this to ensure all attending teams are fulfilled the 4 game guarantee. However, we understand that Covid adds a new variable worth considering. A deposit can be refunded if an unforeseen regulation from legislators prevents more than 50% of your team from being able to travel to Las Vegas. We are happy to work with you, just make sure you communicate any expected obstacles as soon as they are presented.
Nobody wants to miss out on Lax Vegas with their crew, but we ask all attendees to please stay away from the event if you're showing any symptoms of illness. We all need to work together to ensure the health and safety of our box lacrosse community. That being said, be very cautious when traveling to the event and make sure you're consistently washing your hands. Now enough of this Covid talk that we're all burned out on.......lets have some fun!
Thank you,
Nick Peterson
